Muscle Car Races

Three (3) Muscle Car Only Drag Races will be held in 2010.  The dates for those races are:  Sunday, June 6; Sunday, August 22 and Sunday, September 26.

Gates Open at 7:30 a.m., Time Trials at 9 a.m. with Eliminations at 1 p.m.  The cost to race is $40 and to watch is $10.  Class Eliminations will be conducted in 1/4 second increments.  For example, if your car runs 12:33 your class would be 12:25 to 12:49 and so on.  If you win two rounds of competition, you win a trophy.  If you lost in the 1st or 2nd round of your eliminator, we have a free consolation race.  The Consolation Race eliminations will be run bracket racing style with dial-ins.  We will also have some head to head competition between different manufacturers, i.e., Chevy, Ford, Dodge, etc.  Further details will follow later.  General NHRA rules apply.  Street, DOT or slicks allowed.  Open exhaust or mufflers also allowed.

ATTENTION:  In 2009 we were supposed to have a Year End Shootout for a Rock Falls Raceway Hero Jacket.  However due to uncooperative weather and a full field of Muscle Cars on Sunday, October 3, we ran out of time and daylight, and as such, we had to delay this shootout until 2010.  So.... if you were a winner at any of the 2009 Muscle Car Races in any class,  we are eligible to participate in this Shootout.  We will race you off to win a Rock Falls Raceway Hero Jacket at the 1st Muscle Car Race of 2010 (Sunday, June 6).  Winner gets the Hero Jacket and Runner Up will receive a Rock Falls Raceway Sweatshirt!  Everyone will race off against each other bracket race style with dial-ins.

Also, because of some phone calls we have received to clarify what we will accept for a Muscle Car, anything that is 1972 and older is accepted but we will also accept any late model muscle car from '73 to present.
