Dylan Hanson Claims Jr Intermediate Championship

Travis Hilton

Dylan Hanson, out of Rosemount MN, went into the final race weekend of the 2024 season 34 points out of the lead.  Knowing what needed to be accomplished, he turned up the heat in an aggressive style.  Notching a semi-final finish at the penultimate event put him 12 points away from the championship.  At the last event of the season, Hanson rolled to the event victory to secure a championship over Paetyn Bremer. Hanson finished with two event wins to credit, alongside 17 round wins.

Racing on and off since 2020, the Hanson family turned their sights onto winning the championship in 2024.  When asked about racing, Hanson said “My favorite thing is turning on green lights and going really fast!!” Us too, Dylan!  Through a season of accomplishments, Hanson claimed winning on the same day as younger sister Hayden to be his favorite moment of the long year.

When he isn’t busy turning on green lights at the track, Hanson stays busy participating in fishing, lacrosse, basketball, football, and ANYTHING that has wheels! A young man of many talents, Hanson said that someday he’d like to drive a Top Fuel Funny Car. “I’d really love to drive a Funny Car someday if I can. If not, I would love to compete in Pro ET with my dad in his car.” Regardless of where he ends up, we can say for sure: watch out drivers!

Dylan wanted to thank his entire family for everything they do to help him get to the track and succeed.  Thanking his mom and dad for giving him a great race car and always being there to help, his three sisters for being his biggest fan and cheering squad, and Mason for being the best crew mate he could ask for.  Additionally, Hanson thanked Jason Weiler for an awesome race car and all of his continued support.

Congratulations to your 2024 Rock Falls Raceway Jr Intermediate Champion…Dylan Hanson!
