In the span of her racing career, Brooklyn Hop has known one thing: winning. At the conclusion of the 2024 racing season, Hop claimed her fourth career championship, winning in the Jr Minor category.
Hop, of Andover MN, races in the Jr Dragster Minor class at Rock Falls Raceway. The 2024 racing season saw a year of dominance from Hop’s Jr Dragster. Through the first three events of the season, she claimed victory at all three. “Winning the first three events of the season was incredible!” said Hop, “It can be so challenging to win against these competitors, and starting off strong was great”. Hop claimed three more victories through the season to cruise to a 9 round lead over second place Makayla Valure. Hop finished the season with six event wins, seven final round appearances, and 19 round wins.
Looking back on the season, Hop mentioned highpoints like a friendship with Erica Enders that started at Rock’s NHRA National Open, and blossomed into a full tilt tour of the Elite Motorsports Race Operations during the Brainerd National Event. Their friendship ignited a greater passion in Hop, who plans to pursue competing in the NHRA Pro Stock category when she grows up. Additionally, she made both finals of the CTech Manufacturing Racer Appreciation weekend, winning on Saturday. This event featured all Jr competitors racing in one category, showing the older competitors that she means business! Outside of racing, she is content racing Jr Dragsters, and relaxing by riding horses and working on upgrades for her racing operation in 2025.
Through the support of great companies like Mike and Don Kritzky with KGB Engine and Performance, Travis from the Jagerguys Bar, and Sgt. Hot Wheels himself Joe Hawkins; as well as her awesome mom and dad! Hop will undoubtably continue turning on win lights for the foreseeable future. In 2025, she will debut a brand new wrap on her dragster courtesy of the awesome folks at Fineline Graphics and Mill City Graphic's Donnie Durenberger. Hop plans to continue into the Jr Thunder class for another racing season, where she’ll assuredly be a competitor for the season crown!
