2025 NHRA West Central Division 5 ET Finals

Travis Hilton

The 2025 NHRA West Central Division 5 Summit Racing Equipment ET Finals will be hosted at Tri-State Raceway in Earlville, Iowa on September 11th-14th. For anyone who has never been, Tri-State is an AMAZING facility with a strong staff that knows how to run large scale events. We will all be in for a treat when Team RFR goes to battle for the championship and the honor to represent at the World Finals in Las Vegas.

Of note, NHRA announced the decision to move the Super Pro category to 1/8 mile at the ET Finals as well as at the World Finals in Vegas. Only the Super Pro category has been changed over to this new procedure.

At Rock Falls Raceway, racing to the quarter mile is paying homage to the rich history of drag racing. Whether it’s a gear head in their garage, or a young auto enthusiast going to a track for the first time with their family, drag racing is synonymous with quarter mile times and miles per hour. However, as all things do, adaptation and growth are necessary to carry forward in anything in life. Conversations are happening internally about what the future of quarter versus eighth mile racing, specifically in the Super Pro category, would look like at the historic Rock Falls Raceway. After careful consideration of all factors, Rock Falls Raceway will maintain 1/4 mile racing for Super Pro in 2025. We will address potential changes for the 2026 season later in the year. Our facility operates thanks to the goodwill and support of everyone who chooses to visit us here, and we wish to do our due diligence to ensure the best decision for our racers and the future of drag racing at Rock Falls Raceway.
