Nate Bremer Rides to Bike/Sled Championship

Entering the final race of the season, Nate Bremer held only a one round lead in the championship battle.  Knowing all of the pressures for this final race would land on his shoulders, he did what champions do: turning on every win light and securing his championship in the Bike/Sled category! Bremer, out of Red Wing, finished off a successful season with two event wins, 18 round wins, and an astonishing 8-1 record in the dreaded first round.  Wow!

Bremer entered the racing world back in 2007 riding a trusty Yamaha R6. While he holds licenses in door cars as well, folks will easily identify Bremer as the man that rides his current motorcycle to insanely fast 180+mph passes down the dragstrip.  “Spending time with my family and friends at the track is what makes drag racing so special,” said Bremer. “But the feeling on climbing onto the bike and going fast is spectacular.  Going so fast in the open air is a feeling like no other. It’s the best!”

The family man with a family full of racers, Bremer regularly competes at Rock Falls Raceway alongside daughters Skylar (Jr Street, Jr Dragster) and Paeytn (Jr Dragster), with his wife Amy keeping everyone in line—a full time job!! Bremer was quick to mention that his favorite moment of the season wasn’t just his on track success.  “Winning the Wally was a really cool accomplishment, but when we licensed Skylar in the Jr Street category was equally rewarding.  To watch your kids grow up into amazing adults before your eyes is so gratifying, and licensing her at the track this year was phenomenal.”

When he isn’t racing, Bremer works as a union pipefitter and welder.  In addition to that, he enjoys working on small gas engine repairs as a side hobby.  In his spare time (which we can’t figure out how he has any), Bremer relaxes by practicing his aim shooting guns and tinkering on the race cars. Corralling a racing operation of his motorcycles, two Jr Dragsters, and the Jr Street vehicle keeps him plenty busy we imagine! Way to go Nate!   

Bremer extended thanks to Berghammer Tire & Auto for supplying his fuel and Brake Cleaner throughout the season, and their support as a cheering squad in his family’s racing endeavors.  He also thanked his amazing wife Amy and two beautiful daughters Skylar and Paetyn for their support through all his racing ventures.  “Being successful on the track is a great thing, I love turning on win lights and going fast. But watching my kids grow up in racing and have the same passion that I do makes it so much more rewarding.  I’m a lucky guy!” We would agree sir!
